Poland
E-Toll mandatory for trucks >3.5t (GPS-based). Environmental surcharges by Euro class. Holiday/weekend truck bans on certain roads.
Germany
LKW-Maut applies to all trucks including 3.5-7.5t. CO2 surcharge in toll calculation. Posting declarations actively checked.
CMR consignment note
CMR Convention 1956 - mandatory for all international road freight. Must be in triplicate.
Driver's licence
EU Directive 2006/126/EC - must be valid for vehicle category.
Driver ID / passport
Border control. EU citizens: national ID sufficient within Schengen.
Vehicle registration document
Proof of ownership or authorisation for the vehicle.
Vehicle insurance (Green Card)
Mandatory EU motor liability insurance.
Community Licence
EU Regulation 1072/2009 - required for commercial international road haulage.
Tachograph records
EU Regulation 165/2014 - digital tachograph card + printouts for last 28 days.
Commercial invoice
Proof of sale and customs value declaration.
Packing list
Cargo detail for inspection, complements the commercial invoice.
Posting declaration
EU Mobility Package I - for drivers posted to another EU country.
