Why use EleFleet for CO₂ reporting
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does ISO 14083 matter?
ISO 14083 is the standard your customers and auditors look for when they ask for transport CO₂ data. It defines how emissions are calculated per shipment leg, per vehicle, per fuel type. Reports that follow it are accepted across Europe; reports that do not are easy to dismiss.
Do I need to enter fuel data myself?
You can, but you do not have to. EleFleet uses your measured fuel consumption when you provide it, and falls back to standardised reference values (vehicle type, Euro class, fuel) when you do not. Either way, the calculation is ISO 14083 compliant.
Can I share the report with my customer?
Yes. Every signed CMR can be shared with your customer through a single link. They see the CMR, the proof of delivery, and the CO₂ report on one page, no account required. Download the standalone PDF too if they want to attach it to their own audit.
What about empty runs and detours?
Empty legs are tracked separately and reported. Detours that change the route distance are picked up automatically when the carrier signs back the CMR. The numbers reflect what actually happened, not what was planned.
Is this only for road transport?
Yes, road only for now. EleFleet is built around the CMR consignment note, which means trucks. We do not generate ISO 14083 reports for rail, sea, or air freight.
